About Us…
After my children moved out I decided it was time to do something to update the look of my home. During this period, I discovered a passion for decorating that I had previously not known I had. Thinking I had done a wonderful job, when it came time to put that house on the market, I found that my ‘personal’ touches didn’t exactly appeal to buyers in thus very difficult market. I decided to hire a professional stager and was amazed at how such simple changes made such a significant difference. Our agent held an open house within two weeks of completing the changes the stager recommended she noted that the home had been professionally staged and we had 22 interested buyers at the open house and received an offer as a result.
After that experience, I decided to take that passion for decorating and turn it into something that would help other frustrated sellers. I immediately pursued and received my certification from Home Staging Resource in 2009. What does that mean to the home seller? HSR is currently the first and only training course to have received accreditation by the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA). RESA is the only third-party governing association for the home staging industry.
After receiving my certification, I have staged several homes and find that my passion for staging continues to grow. The thing that sets me apart from other stagers is that I have the skills to do simple repairs myself. I am willing to roll my sleeves up and work with the homeowner to complete some of the DIY tasks such as simple lighting updates, painting, etc. If necessary, I enjoy shopping for the home seller if additional accessories are needed. Truly, I find myself losing sleep over the excitement of transforming a home into a place the potential buyer will want to call home.
